Empowering Education in Chula Vista

Dr. Leticia Segura is a lifelong Chula Vista resident who exemplifies the power of giving back to the community that shaped her. Born and raised in Chula Vista, Dr. Segura is proud to be a graduate of both the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) and Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD). Her commitment to education led her to San Diego State University, where she earned multiple degrees that launched her distinguished career as a Speech Language Pathologist, Assistant Principal, Special Ed Coordinator, Program Specialist, and School Principal. As a devoted wife and mother of three children—who themselves are CVESD and SUHSD graduates—Dr. Segura has remained deeply active in the South Bay community throughout her career. Dr. Segura has been a passionate educator for over 34 years. Her commitment to fostering a positive learning environment is evident in her work with students and staff alike. As she prepares to retire in June, Dr. Segura is more committed than ever to giving back, focusing her energy on building meaningful community partnerships that will strengthen and support the next generation of Chula Vista students and families.
